This beautifully juicy gem hails from the Halo Bertiti washing station, located in the heart of Yirgacheffe, Ethiopia. Coffees from this area are floral, high-acidity and juicy. This cup is silky and bright, with notes of plum, black tea, bergamot, orange juice and florals. A sparkling, punchy acidity makes this the perfect sweet and playful coffee.
The Halo Beriti washing and drying station collects cherries from around 520 neighboring small-holder farmers. The average grower plots are no larger than a hectare, and they sit at heights ranging between 1900 and 2150 meters in the Ethiopian highlands. On these plots, or production gardens, farmers grow avocado, enset, soya beans, and sugar cane besides their coffee trees.
